About EduCare

In 1986 Mary and Bob Schedgick started a tutoring service in Oshkosh. When parents started asking for books that they could use at home to help their child, we decided to open a store that sold educational toys and teaching supplies. In October of that year we opened our store at 506 North Main Street in Oshkosh. Our daughters, Diane and Susan, helped out at the store.

In the summer of 1994 we moved to our present location at 1950 Venture Drive. This allowed us to expand the store to more than double the space we had before. We currently employ between 8 to 10 employees. Our daughter, Diane, enjoys helping customer find products and working with kids during Story Time. Our favorite part of owning EduCare is finding toys that motivate kids to build and design, allow kids to be creative, teach them a skill, and toys that kids will play with over and over again.
